According to Michael Ausiello at EW, there will be a six-episode guest star on the upcoming new season of Criminal Minds. It’s D.B. Sweeney and he’ll be helping the team with their investigations.
The rest of the spoiler tells us that two of the show’s stars have recently been injured. Shemar Moore has a broken leg (thank goodness, his face was not hurt!) And Matthew Gray Gubler has a more serious injury. Here’s how they plan to deal with the injuries during filming:
Criminal Minds has tapped D.B. Sweeney for a six-episode arc, exec producer Ed Bernero confirms to me exclusively. “He’s playing a U.S. Marshal who’s brought in to help with a big [case] that arcs through the first part of the season,” Bernero reveals. “He’s a contemporary of our team and knows several members of our team really well.” In other Minds news, Bernero confirms that co-star Shemar Moore broke his leg after being struck by a car while riding his bicycle over the weekend. The injury will have little impact on Moore’s Minds workload, however. “We’re not even going to write it into the show,” says Bernero. “He’s going to be back to work next Monday. It’s right under his knee and he has a walking cast. He’s just really sore right now. “ Moore’s co-star, Matthew Gray Gubler, didn’t fare as well. The actor recently underwent surgery after dislocating his knee cap while out dancing. “Matthew’s injury is a lot worse,” Bernero says. “He has to sit all the time.” As a result, “something happens in the first episode” that will sideline Dr. Reid for several weeks, if not longer. Here’ a clue: He **** ***t! [Source: EW]

If you’re a fan of Medium, like me, you are still thrilled that CBS grabbed the show when NBC decided to let it go. I wasn’t ready to stop following the adventures of my favorite psychic, so this will be terific.
TV Guide gives us a bit of a spoiler for how the new season of Medium will shape up:
Any scoop on Medium and how it might change now that it’s switched to CBS? — Antioch MICKEY: “I guess I can let the cat out of the bag: [Allison] comes out of the coma,” jokes Medium executive producer Glenn Gordon Caron. He explained that he half-seriously wrote the medical cliff-hanger to stave off cancellation. Now that the show is safely ensconced on Friday nights with soul-sister Ghost Whisperer, this season will deal with the aftermath of Allison’s health problems, and how it alters her gift. Look for Marc Webb, director of (500) Days of Summer, to helm an upcoming episode, though not the zombie one. [Source: TV Guide]

TV Guide has a few more tidbits of information about one of CBS’ new fall series, The Good Wife. Not only does it have a spectacular cast, but it sounds like it will be a great drama too:
Care to give any scoop about Julianna Margulies’ The Good Wife? I am dying to see it premiere in September! — Karen MICKEY: The show’s ripped-from-the-headlines premise has Margulies returning to the workforce after her state-attorney husband (Chris Noth) is embroiled in a sex scandal and sent to prison. Look for a startlingly powerful scene between Margulies and Noth within the show’s first five minutes. And Noth’s character, who is seen sucking the toes of a prostitute, won’t always be a jailbird. Those longing looks and those romantic scenes on True Blood between Sookie Stackhouse and Bill Compton were apparently pretty easy to perform. Anna Paquin & Stephen Moyer, the actors who play the two characters on the series are now engaged to be married, according to People Magazine.
Here’s some information about the happy couple:
The two have been together since Feb. 24 of this year. Paquin, who plays telepathic Sookie Stockhouse on True Blood, is originally from New Zealand and won a 1994 Supporting Actress Oscar for her role as the precocious child in The Piano. Moyer, from Essex, England, plays bloodsucking Bill Compton on the series. He also has two children from previous relationships: a son, Billy, born in 2000, and a daughter, Lilac, born in 2002. Last month, Paquin, 27, said of her nude love scenes with Moyer, 39: “Obviously, if you’re already with that person then you’re not having to sort of get over the ‘Wow, I’m naked with someone that I don’t even know the middle name of!’” For his part, Moyer has said of his lady love, “My girl is hardcore.” [Source: People]
