It’s approaching time for the various series to announce their season finale dates. FOX has just announced theirs. It makes me sad to think of the long summer months with no new episodes of our favorites. But to get you ready, here are the latest finale and special episode dates for FOX shows:

SpoilerTV has just released its latest predictions for the fate of the current television series. A couple of them seem to be old information, but for the most part, this seems correct.
Spoiler: With the shocking November death of CBI Agent Bosco (Terry Kinney) and the subsequent resignation of Agt. Virgil Minelli (Gregory Itzin),The Mentalist was left with a major position to be filled. The job’s now taken: Meet new series regular Aunjanue Ellis, who joins the CBS crime drama this spring. In the final six episodes, the True Blood alum plays Agent Hightower, a woman with a husband, kids and secrets that won’t be revealed until next season.
Hightower’s name fits her persona. “She has almost a military style of command, but with surprising subtlety in her tactical behavior,” says creator Bruno Heller. “She comes in with the attitude that Minelli let far too much slide, so we wanted someone very tough who could really stand up to Patrick Jane.”
Just one problem: The actress confesses, “I’ve had a crush on Simon for a couple years. He’s dashing, charming, and it doesn’t hurt that he has a great smile and hair. I’m going to have to avoid looking him in the eye.”
Word is Gregory wasn’t thrilled about being replaced and, after shooting his final scenes, took off without saying goodbye. But Heller calls Gregory, who’s returning to 24 as ex–President Logan, “a brilliant actor who did wonderful things for us…. We all have to move on, which is the hardest thing to do.” Heller, who still has plans for Minelli if Gregory’s game to return, says, “We definitely haven’t seen the last of this old cop.” Or killer Red John, by the way, whom Heller says will “rear his ugly head toward the end of our season.” Watch out, Hightower! CBS is pulling the organ-donation medical drama from Sunday nights effective immediately. Starting Dec. 6, “Cold Case” will shift to 9 p.m., where it had recently had a trial airing. At 10 p.m., CBS will add repeats of an unspecified crime drama (why, that could by any CBS show!). The network also will have some holiday programming on Sunday nights that could pre-empt both crime programs. “Rivers” is still in production and the network will complete all 13 episodes of the show’s initial order. Though network sources say no final decision has been made about its future beyond the 13, given the show’s consistent sub-2.0 ratings, fans shouldn’t expect anything more than a burn-off at some point. Overall, CBS isn’t going to shed tears over “Rivers.” The network had a good fall, with “NCIS: Los Angeles” becoming a hit, “Good Wife” performing well, and “The Mentalist” and “Big Bang Theory” performing strong in new time periods. So what thematic object from “Rivers” will outraged fans mail CBS you think? Let’s hope it’s not body parts… [Source: Hollywood Reporter]

New Season Already Announced:
Three Rivers Sundays on CBS Okay, I was wrong. I thought this show would be a hit for CBS back when it was announced about nine months ago. But it turns out that, without his fangs, Moonlight hunk Alex O’Loughlin just isn’t the attraction I thought he would be. Approximately 8.77 million people tuned in last Sunday, but they were mostly grandmas and grandpas, as the audience yielded a measly 2.1 rating in the adult demo. By contrast, Family Guy had a half-million fewer viewers but a juicy 4.1 rating among adults (and sold tons of Axe Body Spray in the process). That’s what keeps shows on the air. It’s only a matter of time before Three Rivers dries up. Verdict: In Trouble. Might run out its 13-episode order… if it’s lucky. [Source: TV.com]

Fringe Thursdays on Fox I don’t think there is a show this season that has gotten the shaft more than Fringe. Moved to a competitive Thursday-night time slot and preempted by baseball, Fringe has recently hit series lows in the ratings, which prompted fans to fear for its life. But fear not, Fringe folk, Fox likes the show—and it’s obvious. This Observer-week promo isn’t happening because the net is bored, it’s happening because Fox wants the show to survive. And it wants Fringe back for Season Three. And it will be back. And then we’ll meet alternate universe Astrid who will be a major ass-kicker! (I hope) Verdict: It will be back, and hopefully on another night. [Source: TV.com]

Question: This week’s episode of Lie to Me was awesome! Any word as to whether FOX is going to order a full season? —Rachel Ausiello: Still no word on a back-nine pick-up, but I have a hunch we’ll be hearing some news on that front soon. Meanwhile, next week’s episode finds Lightman and Foster trying to track down the biological parents of a teenager who realizes he was abducted as a baby. But it’s Lightman’s parenting that comes into question when he has to bend the truth to his own daughter. [Source: EW]

But we all still need to go vote. Here’s where you need to go vote and be sure to go make your choices before voting ends on December 8th!!
I’m very sad about this Past Life news. I am very eagerly awaiting the premiere of this series and want it to be a success!. I hope the show is loved enough that they definitely order more episodes…but we have to be allowed to see it first.
Fox has reduced its episode order for midseason crime drama “Past Life” to seven episodes (including the pilot). The network is scaling back its commitment to the Warner Bros. series, which is currently scheduled to have an “American Idol” lead-in next year on Tuesday nights. Sources say the show is not being canceled and that Fox still intends to promote the series. In the drama, a team uses past life regression to solve crimes. [Source: Hollywood Reporter]
